WXSW 2010 @ Plush and Club Congress, March 14th – 15th and March 21st – 24th
WXSW 2010 has arrived! What is WXSW you ask? Well, it is the magical time just before and just after Austin’s SXSW Festival when bands are traveling to and from Texas. They’re rolling down I-10 anyway so they stop in to play a gig while they’re in town.
This year, at Plush and Club Congress, tickets can be purchased in advance for access to all shows to both clubs for $30. Or you can go the à la carte route and purchase tickets one night at a time for $8 which gets you into both clubs that night only. At least that’s the word on the street. Club Congress’ website indicates that at least one night is $8 in advance, $10 day of the show so be sure to double check.
A word of caution – three of the Club Congress shows are all ages so if you’re an adult of legal drinking age and like to drink while enjoying live music, be prepared to be caged in on those nights. All Plush shows are 21+ so drink freely and responsibly there.
